Lightbulb Cnages to Rune/Inscription Usage?

What would you all think about having a change to the way Runes/Inscriptions are used now in PvE? I proposed this idea to Arena Net and they told me to run it through the forums. The idea is this; I propose in order to use a rune on your armor you must first use the lesser rune. For example, if you wish to use a major rune or superior rune you must go in order. You must first use a minor rune until you gain enough experience to move to a major rune, then after acquiring the major rune you must gain enough experience to move to a superior rune.

This would IMO make the major rune worth something. In the games current state major runes have no monetary value so to speak. In this way all runes would have some value. I am not saying my proposal is the only way to go on this, but wanted to see what the rest of you thought about it? Please leave feedback and propose your own ideas on this subject.

well this would make useing runes a bitch, major runes already have a value of not doing -75 but rather -50 so they are used if you want more health, the only way i would like to see this put in is if runes did not give the -health, then it would be worth it, but with the -health runes are fine the way they are

There would be no point to giving minor and major runes more "value".

Where's the part about inscriptions?

just plain silly

You want worth on major and minor runes, change the drop rate?

Rarity of drop combined with player demand is what dirves prices, and this is a retarted way to go about making something worth more coin.

Besides, the lower sets of runes are there for people who can't afford the sups(+metagame things like more health, as mentioned), and it would be idiotic to change that.

Why someone would want to make mediocre equipment cost/worth more is beyond me? Get alot of drops and wish you could sell them for more? Join the club F*tard, all of GW is like that.

GW isn't really about the market, it uses the ingame market to regulate prices people charge for things, otherwise people would only ever sell items of worth to other people, and everyone would be trying to scalp eachother for 100k for sup runes and black dyes.

It's a tool for fairness, and works pretty well. The only highly unobtainable things are player desired/rare skins and minipets for 100k+ectos, the perfect example of a user driven market.

major runes are great! For heroes they are only 100 gold and are hearly as a good as a super run, they take less health away so it's a benefit. Major Runes don't need changing.

Nah... for storage runes would be fine, but not for armor runes... a too big gold sink.
